  1. I wish you were also accepting volunteers not living in Istanbul…. But hopefully one day, I’ll make my permanent address there 🙂

  2. You won’t be paid but you’ll gain exposure… the words that are killing journalism and photography especially.

Wonder if other skills/professions will be abused in this way? ‘Plumber wanted: no pay but a good reference’.

I have a high level of English fluency, am a great photographer, and those skills took time and money to develop. You want them? Show me the fucking money.

    • Yabangee is a volunteer project in every position. Everyone (including owner, editors, coordinators, writers, etc.) involved believes in the project and works as a labor of love in addition to their regular full-time work. We’re a team of over 90 volunteers, without an office, without banner adverts, no capital, no sponsors, etc.

It has worked well thus far.

      • Maybe management can look into how to take this labour of love to the next love and find ways to monetize it. Money is the best incentive for quality work, as those who are either professional writers and photographers and have honed their skills on the job are probably not going to be willing to part with their skills for free.

  3. Money is not everything and if you love doing something, you can do it for many other reasons too, other than money, plus this is not a professional job-search web site, as they have mentioned on the web site and up above here, this is a voluntary community trying to help each other voluntarily, please take that into consideration too.
