Formed in 2014, Maruja developed a reputation on the UK underground through dynamic live shows and a string of well-received EPs, including Knocknarea (2023) and Connla’s Well (2024). Their debut album Pain to Power arrived in 2025 and expanded their reach, combining sharp lyricism with jagged guitar work, saxophone interplay and rhythmic volatility.
Live, the quartet thrives on contrast and momentum, moving between moments of chaos and controlled tension.
