Selden Deemer

Raised in a small town in Delaware, Selden was infected with Middle Eastern fever after spending two years at Robert College. B.A. in Near Eastern Languages, MLS in Library and Information Science. He worked at the University of Petroleum and Minerals Library in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia for 5 years, before returning to the United States. Interests include cooking (especially eastern Mediterranean), motorcycles (still riding at age 76) photography, and Arabic calligraphy, an art which he will never master. İnşallah, a return visit to Turkey will happen in 2023.
