(Past Event) Night Out with +1 @ Moda Sahnesi & Kadıköy Sineması

Night Out with +1 returns this year as part of the 32nd Istanbul Jazz Festival, spreading across two nights and two venues, Moda Sahnesi and Kadıköy Sineması, with a bold and eclectic lineup. From jazz and funk to experimental grooves and indie atmospheres, this mini-festival offers an immersive journey into local and international sounds. Full details and tickets are available via the official page for night one (Wednesday 16 July) and night two (Thursday 17 July).

Night One: Wednesday 16 July
Moda Sahnesi hosts an electrifying evening that kicks off with the vibrant and genre-blending İstanbul West Side Collective, followed by the inventive jazz stylings of vocalist Çağıl Kaya and her ensemble. The night culminates with a high-energy performance by Ghost-Note, led by Grammy-winning percussionists from Snarky Puppy, delivering a powerful mix of funk, jazz, and groove.

Over at Kadıköy Sineması, the focus shifts to experimental, regional, and cinematic sounds. Şenkop opens the night with an Anatolian-inspired set rooted in improvisation. The collaborative duo of Berke Can Özcan and Jonah Parzen-Johnson brings a unique blend of analog textures and percussive storytelling, paving the way for a performance by Mehmet Ali Sanlıkol Quintet, blending East and West through jazz, microtonality, and traditional instruments.

Night Two: Thursday 17 July
At Moda Sahnesi, the evening begins with light motiv, a dream-pop/indie rock project led by Sarp Öztürk. They’re followed by the cinematic and stylish Austrian duo Cari Cari, before the stage is taken by the hypnotic, blues-infused psychedelic group MY BABY, hailing from Amsterdam and New Zealand.

Meanwhile, Kadıköy Sineması presents a rich night of fresh jazz and vocals. The young quartet Şu Güzel İnsanlar opens with contemporary compositions, followed by the creative arrangements of the Zeynep Oktar Quintet. The night ends with a special trio performance by Seda Erciyes, Selût, and Tuğçe Şenoğul, weaving together ethereal vocals, synths, and poetic storytelling.

Full details and tickets are available via the official page for night one and night two.
