Palestinian-Jordanian singer-songwriter Zeyne brings her blend of contemporary Arab pop, R&B, soul and jazz to Fiba Salon İKSV on Friday 18 September, as part of her AWDA tour. The performance follows the release of her 2025 debut album AWDA, a record shaped by questions of identity, belonging and return, and marks a notable live appearance from an artist whose work has increasingly connected the sounds of the Levant with a wider global pop audience. Born Zein Izzat Sajdi and raised between Palestinian and Jordanian cultural contexts, Zeyne began releasing music in 2021 with singles including “Minni Ana” and “Nostalgia”. Her early work established a sound that moved comfortably between intimate R&B, soul and Arabic melodic traditions, while later releases showed a growing interest in questions of identity and self-definition. Tracks such as “Balak”, a collaboration with Saint Levant, and “Ma Bansak”, which she also performed for COLORS, helped broaden her audience across the region and its diaspora.
Her debut album AWDA, released in 2025, brought those strands together more deliberately. The Arabic title translates as “return”, and the album explores heritage, memory and the experience of negotiating Arab identity through contemporary production. Its collaborations include Saint Levant and Bayou, while songs such as “Hilwa” turn toward family and Palestinian womanhood. The record also established Zeyne as an artist capable of treating Arab pop not as a fixed genre, but as a space where R&B, soul, electronic production and regional musical references can coexist.
The AWDA tour extends that album into a live setting following a run of European dates in September. Zeyne’s growing profile has included recognition through Apple Music’s Up Next programme, YouTube’s global artist development programme and a performance at COLORS, while her appearance alongside major regional artists has placed her within a broader generation reshaping contemporary Arabic music for audiences beyond the region.
