Layla is the daughter of the legendary DJ and producer, Jellybean Benitez. She began her career DJing at friends’ birthday parties as a 13-year-old. Layla is a classically trained pianist and a Parsons School of Design graduate. Her artistic education contributes to her creative approach to music. Although originally focused on Afro House, her move to Miami sparked her interest in indie dance, integrating ’80s glitter and new influences into her sets.
