With over 40 years of experience, DJ Spen is a legendary bridge to the past and future of house music. DJ Spen first rose to prominence in the 1980s as a founding member of the hip-hop group Numarx, which co-wrote the global hit “Girl You Know It’s True.” In the late 1980s, he joined The Basement Boys production team, where he got to work with Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Crystal Waters, and Ultra Naté. He formed the Jasper Street Company, a gospel-house collective known for its high-energy vocal anthems. In 2004, he launched Code Red Recordings, and in 2012, he co-founded Quantize Recordings.
