Friday 16 October sees multidisciplinary duo Kiss Facility bring their submerged, spellbinding sonic universe to Fiba Salon İKSV as part of their album tour. Formed by Emirati-born artist Mayah Alkhateri and producer Salvador Navarrete, who is also known for his work as Sega Bodega, the project carves out a rare space in contemporary indie music by reframing heavy shoegaze and dream pop through Arabic lyricism, personal mythology, and quiet emotional vulnerability. Rather than using genre markers as mere aesthetic signifiers, the act uses abrasive wall-of-sound guitar textures and submerged vocal poetry to explore spiritual protection, psychic perception, and complex Middle Eastern identity. Kiss Facility first began capturing global interest through their 2024 debut EP Esoteric, a focused four-track effort that defined their sonic blueprint of distorted riffs and intimate vocal delivery. Their track Plasma gained wider traction when it was sampled by electronic artist Fred again.. on his 2025 collaboration project with Skepta, introducing Alkhateri’s haunting vocals to a broader club and festival audience while retaining the raw authenticity of the original recording. Throughout their early single releases, the duo has treated sound as a site for self-transformation, balancing dense instrumental chaos with fragile, direct vocal melodies.
The tour follows the arrival of their debut full-length album KHAZNA, a body of work whose title references a vault or hidden treasury. Written and recorded inside the pair’s shared living space, the project reflects an atmosphere that feels gathered rather than overly polished, leaning into subtle ambient shifts, unexpected electronic percussion, and layered vocals.
