Formed by singer-composer Elise “Elyse” Walker and producer Jesse Cohen, Tempers first gained attention for their self-released singles that combine cool synth layers with emotive vocal lines. Their sound draws equally from 1980s new wave, contemporary synth-pop, and noir-tinged electronic pop, giving their songs a moody but melodic core.
Onstage, Tempers balance rhythm and atmosphere, using pulsating beats and textured synths to build sets that are as compelling in quieter moments as they are on the dancefloor.
