Pearson Turkey: Personal & Professional Development Courses in English

The year is 2019 and everything surrounding us is changing in a heartbeat. I often ask myself where the industry is going with these rapid changes in technology. Especially, when it comes to education, will future learners even have time to go for Master’s degrees or get a PhD? Do years and years of education and expertise in certain subjects matter, or will this change bring about a need of skill sets that are quicker to gain elsewhere?

In today’s dynamic business environment, it is critical to invest in your workforce to improve productivity, drive employee performance and engagement, and boost motivation.

At Pearson, our team is proud to present a unique approach to Turkey, which involves both the flexibility of purely online programs and the interaction and engagement that is associated with the traditional in-class delivery model.

Pearson Professional is an innovative solution geared towards individuals keen to pursue personal or professional development by taking short courses. We partner with world leading universities and develop rigorous blended learning programs tailored to the regional requirements.

Some of these certification programs include Harvard’s Leaders of Learning, Wharton Business Schools’ Digital Marketing, Columbia’s Artificial Intelligence, Maryland’s Agile Leadership and many more.

With Pearson Professional, you get all the global professional benefits of open online courses, but with an experienced local partner to make sure it is tailored to the market requirements. You receive a globally recognized certificate that does not come with a hefty price tag, yet includes innovative blended learning strategy and individual approach to every student.

We provide:

  • a single source for multiple education programs from various highly ranked academic institutions.
  • education that is internationally recognized and connects to a global network.
  • strategies for students to engage with peers and instructors – internationally and locally, in-person and online.
  • a wide curriculum, with courses designed by world-leading faculty, covering the most in-demand competencies needed by employers in the region.
  • programs validated by leading academic institutions and relevant industries.

On top of everything, Pearson Professional programs offer a success coach (Learner Success Coach) whose primary objective is to support learner’s progression through the course. Which brings the topic to me as Pearson Turkey’s Learner coach. Let me explain to you, what I do. I liaise closely with the trainer. I take point to organize learners into their project teams, manage local logistics for both virtual and in-person meetings, and support the learners when they are falling behind to figure out how they can get back on track.
I am the primary point of contact for learners and am there to provide administrative and coaching support. My role is to keep learners motivated and on track to successfully complete the program and achieve their goals. I understand that it may be difficult for them to maintain a work life balance and provide the necessary support to assist them with overcoming any challenges they may face whilst completing the program. My goal is to help learners progress both personally and professionally.

To wrap up, Pearson professional programs offer a unique approach to learning. Programs are anywhere from 4 weeks to 12 weeks, they offer an internationally recognized certification from the most reputable universities in the world. They are 70% online, 30% in person with hand-picked Subject Matter Experts in their fields, and you have a learner success coach that will help you achieve all the important milestones of the course and will personally coach you to meet your professional or academic goals for the course. The best part of it, for expats in Istanbul is that the programs are 100% in English!
