(PAST EVENT) Creative Business Cup Istanbul (Deadline: April 9)

Creative Business Cup is a unique, yearly competition that is powered by the biggest international creative professional network: Creative Business Network.

The Creative Entrepreneurship and Economy Network FUTURATE invites creative businesses in Istanbul to apply to the first Creative Business Cup İstanbul. The last day for the application is the 9th of April.


The Creative Business Cup İstanbul (CBCIST) is hosted by the Creative Entrepreneurship and Economy Network FUTURATE and powered by Izmir University of Economics, Creative Economy Research & Application Center (IEU+KREA) that is also the host of the Creative Business Cup Turkey, national finals.

As a winner, first, you will represent Istanbul at the Creative Business Cup National Finals 2021 in İzmir in May hosted by IEU+KREA, and winners from that will go on to represent Turkey at the Creative Business Cup Global Finals 2021 in Copenhagen in June, together with National Winners from 80+ countries! If you would like to be the one who will fly to Denmark in June 2021 then you should be on the stage as a contestant.

We will shortlist 10 finalists out of all the applications. Finalists will receive hands-on training to reshape their creative business, learn more on intellectual property rights, reposition their brand, and gain access to a creative professional network.

Participants in the Creative Business Cup must:
• Have the core asset of the business based on creative competencies.
• Be commercial. Their concepts must have market potential.
• Own the rights to the idea with which he or she is entering the competition.
• Be registered as a legal entity in their country.
• Not have received more than 1,000,000 USD of external capital investment in the past.

Creative Business Cup will allow startups from the following areas to participate:
Advertising, Architecture, Design, Experience Technologies, Fashion, Film, Video & Photography, Leisure Activities, Music, Performing Arts, Publishing, Radio & Television Software, Video Games & Electronic Publishing (for Creative Industries), 3D Printing, Maker Toys & Games
