(June 2) Mozart’s Requiem by Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra @ Atatürk Cultural Centre

As part of the IKSV 52nd Music Festival, the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Carlo Tenan, presents a captivating concert of Mozart’s Requiem featuring acclaimed soloists Giuliana Gianfaldoni (soprano), Cecilia Molinari (mezzo-soprano), Ilker Arcayurek (tenor), and Jongmin Park (bass), alongside the Hungarian National Choir under the direction of chorus master Csaba Somos. The evening’s performance takes place in the Atatürk Cultural Centre (Türk Telekom Opera Hall) on Sunday 02 June. Tickets are available via Passo.

The concert programme includes Arvo Pärt’s ethereal “Ein Wallfahrtslied” (Pilgrim’s Song), followed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s poignant “Maurerische Trauermusik” in C minor, K 477, leading into the masterwork of Mozart’s Requiem in D minor, K 626.

The duration of the performance is approximately 65 minutes without an interval. Prior to the concert, attendees can engage in a pre-concert talk conducted in Turkish, featuring Aydin Büke and Murat Cem Orhan, who will delve into the depths of Mozart’s Requiem.

This collaboration between BIPO and the Hungarian National Choir, along with the exceptional soloists, promises a compelling and unforgettable musical experience.
