Wednesday 2 December will see rising Dutch singer-songwriter Isabel van Gelder perform at Babylon. Delivering an intimate blend of vocal-driven pop and understated acoustic arrangements, the Amsterdam-born artist brings her deeply personal songwriting and atmospheric live set to the stage. The upcoming performance marks a key appearance for one of contemporary European indie pop’s most compelling new voices as she continues her rapid international trajectory. Tickets are available via Bubilet.
Van Gelder first drew widespread attention through online acoustic performances and viral covers before releasing her debut single Pieces. Her early work quickly established a signature sound rooted in emotional vulnerability, built around clear vocal delivery and sparse instrumentation. Following appearances across showcase platforms like Popronde and Eurosonic Noorderslag, her live performances earned critical praise for their quiet intensity and unhurried emotional weight.
Her debut EP Minor Details expanded her sonic palette, introducing subtle electronic textures and dreamy pop arrangements while preserving the lyrical intimacy of her earlier singles. Standout tracks such as Die For You and My Silly Boy highlight her ability to navigate themes of modern heartbreak, personal growth, and introspection. On stage, backed by a minimalist touring arrangement, Van Gelder allows her pristine vocals and unvarnished lyricism to remain firmly at the center.
To stay up to date make sure to follow Babylon. Tickets are available via Bubilet.
