The Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV) is thrilled to announce a mesmerizing two-night performance by the renowned Italian pianist and composer, Fabrizio Paterlini. On Friday 1 and Saturday 2 December, Salon IKSV will be transformed into a haven of musical enchantment as Paterlini takes the stage, promising Istanbul’s music aficionados an extraordinary journey through his evocative compositions. Doors open at 21:00 and tickets are available via Passo (Friday, Saturday).
Fabrizio Paterlini is a name synonymous with contemporary classical music innovation. His emotionally charged piano compositions have earned him global acclaim and a dedicated following. With a distinctive blend of classical and modern influences, Paterlini’s music has the power to transcend boundaries and connect with listeners on a profound level.

Fabrizio Paterlini has been producing in different disciplines since the 90s, evolving and developing as he produces. 2006 was a turning point in his career, which began with progressive rock compositions. He released his first solo piano album Viaggi in aeromobile in 2007 on his own label. With 2013’s Now, he began to embrace electronic infrastructures. The follow-up The Art of Piano was described as “a true piano masterpiece”. With his 2017 album Secret Book, he changed the formula once again. The combination of strings, piano and electronics gave life to the most complex Fabrizio Paterlini album ever. In 2018, he brought us Winter Stories, which heralded his return to solo piano, and then completed the Transitions trilogy one after the other. The Italian pianist, who has presented five-star music feasts with solo piano twice before at Salon, is here to play his renewed repertoire accompanied by a string trio.
