Improv Performance: Ephemerata @ YOTA

YOTA will host Ephemerata on Saturday 30 December. Set to start at 20.30, the tickets are priced at 15 TL and sold at the door.

Ephemerata

From the organizer:

Ephemerata is an improvised play in one act, performed by Curtis Erhart and Tyler Denison. It is completely improvised: no suggestions and no plan sketched out beforehand. By the end of 50 minutes (give or take), Curtis and Tyler will have built a compelling story about the lives of quirky characters and the world which they inhabit. It has been performed in Istanbul for about 4 years, and also at festivals in Izmir and Athens, Greece.

Curtis Erhart
Curtis has been improvising for 20 years, getting his start at the Improv Olympic Theater in Chicago. Moving to Istanbul in 2005, he has been coaching and performing improvisation here for 10 years. In addition to improvising, you can see him directing and performing in musicals and pantos with Speech Bubbles.

Tyler Denison
Tyler has been improvising for a few years now as one half of the Ephemerata duo, and previously he was a part of the Square Peg Theatre Troupe, the spiritual mother of English theater in Istanbul. Tyler likes drinking beer, watching football, and playing D&D.
