Halka Art Project is an art initiative based in Moda that was founded in 2011 by two like-minded academics from Yeditepe University. It is a non-profit and independent organisation that retains an amateur spirit among its members, in which anyone can enter, become a member, participate in numerous workshops, watch documentaries on sustainable living for free, and learn about permaculture, mother-child relations, yoga, ecology, design, movements in cinema and so on.
