İş Sanat will host The City Will Smell Like Amber on Monday 9 April. Set to start at 20.30,  and are available via Biletix.

From the organizer:

Sait Faik Abasıyanık (1906 -1954), who mostly writes about İstanbul and the people of the city in an affectionate manner, meets with audiences with his five different stories, in İş Sanat once more. “The City Will Smell Like Amber”s playlist includes stories titled “An Awesome Train”, “Pool Side”, “The Fishing Rod Who Found It’s Own Fisherman”, “High Pavement”, and “The Punk And The Dog”. The stories are read in a dramatic flow of interiors, in the stage setting of an old radio recording studio.

Project by Atilla Birkiye, music director & compositions & piano Serdar Yalçın, musicians: violin Seda Subaşı, cello Şemsa İdil Ural, stories recited by Tilbe Saran, Hümay Güldağ, Metin Belgin, Hakan Gerçek, effects Tuğrul Karanfil, Yiğit Çelik, Burak Haktanır.
