(May 3, 4) Angel Olsen @ Salon IKSV

Salon IKSV will host Angel Olsen on Thursday 3 May and Friday 4 May. Set to start at 21.30, tickets are priced at 60 TL (adults) and 50 TL (students) and are available via Biletix.

From the organizer:

American folk-rock and indie musician, Angel Olsen started her musical career as a vocalist in Bonnie Prince Billy and The Cairo Gang. She caught the attention of talent scouts with her 2012 debut ‘Half Way Home’. Her 2014 album ‘Burn Your Fire For No Witness’ from Jagjaguwar made the top of many year-end lists. Her songs were beloved and performed by such names as John Grant, St. Vincent, and Marc DeMarco. They shared the videos to her songs on their social media accounts.

She released her third album ‘My Woman’ in 2016 and last year she released her latest ‘Phases’, which consists of previously unreleased demos, covers and b-sides. She entered the radar of the mainstream when her song ‘Windows’ was used in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.

According to critics, Olsen is a modern day blend of The Everly Brothers, Giant Sand, Mazzy Star, Peter Green, Patti Smith, and Astrud Gilberto. In 2015, she played a sold-out night in Istanbul at Salon. She is back to salute her fans once again on the Salon stage as part of her ‘Phases’ tour.
