From the organizer:

Standing out with her soul and folk productions, singer, songwriter and pianist Agnes Obel is coming to Turkcell Stage on July 1 as part of PSM Loves Summer!

Agnes Obel, who has completed ten years in her musical career, is considered among the independent and original artists of contemporary music.

Obel met with the audience with her single ‘Island of Doom’, which was released before her new album ‘Myopia’, which was released in 2020 with Deutsche Grammophon and Blue Note labels. In ‘Island of Doom’, which she wrote when she had trouble sleeping, Obel wrote this song inspired by her research while she was having trouble sleeping.

Danish singer and songwriter’s new album “Myopia”, released on February 21, received full marks from critics. In Myopia, Agnes took trust and doubt into her focus. As with her previous albums (Philharmonics, Aventine and Citizen Of Glass), Agnes, who went into isolation in her studio in Berlin for ‘Myopia’, handled all the writing, recording and mixing stages of the album herself.

Agnes sums it up like this: The albums I’ve worked on have all required that I build a bubble of some kind in which everything becomes about the album.

After all this effort, Agnes Obel, who has produced songs that are more impressive than the other, is coming to Zorlu PSM as part of PSM Loves Summer to bring her soulful pieces to her audience in Turkey!
