American rock band Black Veil Brides makes its long-awaited Turkish debut at JJ Arena on Saturday 13 February, presented by Freebird Agency with media sponsorship from Karnaval. Arriving as part of the Vindicatour, the concert marks the band’s first performance in the country and showcases a catalogue that blends metalcore, hard rock, gothic imagery and theatrical performance into one of the most recognisable identities in modern alternative music. Founded in Ohio in 2006 by vocalist Andy Biersack, Black Veil Brides emerged from the American post-hardcore and metalcore scene before developing a broader sound that incorporates glam metal, classic hard rock and cinematic influences. Their visual aesthetic, inspired by artists such as KISS alongside gothic horror and comic book imagery, became inseparable from their music, helping cultivate a devoted international following known as the BVB Army. The band’s breakthrough came with albums including Set the World on Fire, Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones and Black Veil Brides, while songs such as “Knives and Pens”, “Fallen Angels” and the platinum-certified “In the End” established them as one of the defining rock acts of the 2010s.
Their latest album, Vindicate, marks another chapter in the band’s evolution, pairing heavier production with the anthemic songwriting that has long defined their work. Produced by Andy Biersack and guitarist Jake Pitts, with mixing by Zakk Cervini, the record expands the group’s theatrical approach while continuing to explore themes of resilience, identity and self-determination through tracks including “Bleeders”, “Certainty” and the title track.
Known for highly visual live productions, Black Veil Brides has spent nearly two decades performing alongside acts including Avenged Sevenfold, Mötley Crüe and Three Days Grace, while appearing at major festivals such as Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life and Rocklahoma. Their first performance in Turkey offers audiences an opportunity to experience a band whose music and stagecraft have become equally central to its enduring international appeal.
