American metal band Lamb of God headlines a three-act bill at Bonus Parkorman on Friday 24 July, presented by Stagepass. Widely regarded as one of the defining acts of modern groove metal, the Virginia group returns with a set spanning more than three decades of music, joined by Sweden’s Orbit Culture and Turkish groove metal outfit Black Tooth. Tickets are available via Biletinial.
Formed in Richmond in the mid-1990s, Lamb of God emerged as one of the leading forces of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal, combining the precision of thrash with hardcore intensity and groove-driven rhythms. Fronted by Randy Blythe, the band built its reputation through landmark albums including Ashes of the Wake, Sacrament, Wrath and VII: Sturm und Drang. Their music often addresses war, politics and social unrest, while technically intricate musicianship and relentless live performances have earned them multiple Grammy nominations and a lasting influence on contemporary metal.
Supporting the evening is Orbit Culture, the Swedish quartet whose sound blends melodic death metal, groove metal and industrial textures into expansive, cinematic compositions. With albums such as Nija and Descent, the band has become one of the fastest-rising names in modern heavy music, drawing comparisons to Scandinavian metal traditions while developing a distinct identity of its own.
Opening the night is Black Tooth, a longstanding presence in Turkey’s heavy music scene. Since forming in 2004, the band has established itself through groove-oriented songwriting, uncompromising live shows and appearances alongside international acts and major festivals. Together, the three bands present a cross-section of contemporary metal, from established genre pioneers to emerging international voices and a key local representative.
