On Thursday, 18 June, Classical Disco takes over Salon IKSV as part of the 54th Istanbul Music Festival. The event fuses classical music with contemporary electronic and DJ culture, inviting listeners to experience sound in a fresh, dance‑inspired format. Tickets are available via Passo.
This year’s Classical Disco features Duo Bergmüller & Rasmussen, with David Bergmüller on lavta and Janus Rasmussen on electronics, creating a blend of early music textures and modern sound design. Their performance bridges acoustic instruments and electronic elements in a way that feels both innovative and energetic.
Accompanying live performance segments are interspersed with DJ sets that transform the space into a blend of concert hall and dance floor. The concept challenges traditional concert conventions by inviting audiences to engage both with composed music and contemporary sound culture in a single event.
