Born in Syria and of Armenian descent, Haig Yazdjian has built an international career through his unique musical language. His sound brings together Armenian, Arabic, and Anatolian traditions. At the center is the oud. Around it, layered rhythms and subtle improvisations unfold. His compositions feel both rooted and modern.
The quartet format allows for dynamic interaction between musicians, creating performances shaped by rhythmic depth and spontaneous improvisation. Yazdjian’s distinctive tone and emotional phrasing give each piece a powerful sense of atmosphere, while the ensemble builds layered instrumental textures around the oud’s resonant sound.
