Yazz Ahmed @ Salon IKSV

Salon IKSV, in collaboration with Garanti Jazz Green, will host the Bahraini-British ethnic jazz musician and trumpet player Yazz Ahmed on Friday 15 December. Set to start at 22:00, tickets are priced at 50 TL for a table, 40 TL for standing, and 30 TL for students and are available via Biletix.

Yazz Ahmed became a notable name as a musician and composer of British jazz scene following the release of her 2011 debut album. She took the stage with Toshiko Akiyoshi, Steve Williamson, and Courtney Pine. She has worked on the albums by a variety of artists such as Radiohead, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Joan as Police Woman, Amel Zen, and These New Puritans and accompanied them on stage. She also has played the flugelhorn on Radiohead’s album ‘The King of Limbs’. She was described as a rising star by Jazzqise and Time Out.
