Salon IKSV will host one of jazz’s finest contrabass musicians Avishai Cohen on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 October. The performances are set to start at 22:00, with tickets priced at 50 TL (40 TL for students) and available via Biletix (28th, 29th).

Got discovered by and worked for many years with the jazz master Chick Corea. One of the “100 Most Influential Bass Players of the 20th Century” according to Bass Player magazine. Immediately became an essential for the world of jazz and classical music with his style in which he paints modern jazz with Midde Eastern melodies and ethnic elements. Took the Echo Jazz Award home in 2013. Worked with jazz giants Roy Hargrove, Herbie Hancock, and Bobby McFerrin on top of Chick Corea, collaborated with Alicia Keys, and shared the stage with London Philharmonic Orchestra. Visited Istanbul many times, winning the hearts of music loving Istanbulites. Cohen is now at Salon with his trio for those who previously missed or could not get enough of him.
