Moderat @ Zorlu Center PSM – “Moderat originates from a collaboration between Modeselektor and Apparat. Modeselektor consists of Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary, who are considered as minimal techno music heroes, while Apparat is a pseudonym for German electronic musician Sascha Ring. When Bronsert and Szary met Ring in 2002, they merged their projects, which had gained quite a fame on the Berlin music scene, in order to form Moderat.”
RBMA Radio Istanbul ft. Motor City Drum Ensemble, Young Marco and Ahu @ Babylon Bomonti – “Known for bringing together opposites in his unusual productions, German musician Danilo Plessow’s stunning project Motor City Drum Ensemble, Dutch producer Young Marco who has performed in various high profile electronic music festivals throughout Europe and 2005 Red Bull Music Academy Seattle alumni Ahu will be on stage to kick off Red Bull Music Academy Radio İstanbul.”

Sophie Hunger @ Babylon Bomonti – The Swedish performer has been active on the scene for over a decade and has been described by The Guardian as “Laura Marling, Beth Orton and Björk in one folk-rocking package”.
SEIBA Presents: “The Hilarious Adventure of the Hodja Nasruddin” w/ Ashley Ramsden – “An evening of delicious humor and delight! Hodja Nasruddin is the great holy man, fool, trickster figure in the Middle East. Much loved by the Sufi’s and other seekers of wisdom, few know of his origins or how he came to be the hero of his people. Come discover!”
Khruangbin @ Salon IKSV – “They are only two years old; yet they have managed to get tracked by the radars of music press from The Guardian to i-D, thanks to their exotic inspirations that stick out in their sounds. Their name means “aviator” in Thai language, which emphasises the international scale of the names they take inspiration from as they often point out.”
Starting: The 35th International Book Fair – Focusing on a theme of “philosophy and humanity”, this year’s festival features hundreds of events and publishers.
Last Day: “Fugitive Shadow” @ Elgiz Museum Terrace – Elgiz continues their series of impressive terrace exhibitions.
Şişhane Nights @ Nan Şişhane – “Our slogan for the night is “The Only Venue, The Only Entertainment, Şişhane Nights for all of us’.”
Starting: International Istanbul Art Fair – This year’s fair “unites galleries, independent artist groups, curatorial exhibitions, performances, artists’ workshops and residency, various CSOs that work on this year’s topic and social movements in frames of ‘Unexpected Territories’.”

The 48 Hour Film Project – “Filmmakers are taking over İstanbul and turning it into movie-making madness for 48 hours! Teams of filmmakers have a single weekend – this one – to write, shoot and edit their short films! All completed entries will be unveiled on the big screen, at our premiere screenings.”
Friday & Saturday: Victor Wooten Trio @ Zorlu Center PSM – “5 time Grammy Award winner Victor Wooten, the American musician, composer, writer and producer defined as the Bach of bass guitar… with his band which will feature American jazz/funk drummer Dennis Chamber and American jazz saxophone player Bob Franceschini as guest artists.”
