Tidy Turkey will be taking part in this year’s World Cleanup Day on Saturday 15 September with an initiative taking place on Büyükada Island. Those interested in participating can RSVP via the official Facebook event, with a detailed program available below.

Come and join in our Clean Up event on Buyukada on World Clean Up Day. Our Clean Up Dive team from The Everblue Dive Club will be cleaning in the sea in the morning. Let’s congratulate them and continue their hard work on dry land as we collect rubbish around the island, make friends and together work towards a cleaner planet. Bags and gloves will be provided and food and drinks will be available at the meet up location, Buyukada Anadolu Club, which is 5 minutes walk from the ferry terminals. Bring your swimsuit if you wish to swim after the event and of course sunscreen and a hat and water. Please note the club has not confirmed that we will be able to use their swimming facilities but suggests it will be decided on the day and their capacity. However, they will provide a code that all group members can use for access to the club.
A Whatsapp group will be made for communication on the day. This group should only be used for organisational issues.
Buyukada is easily accessible by ferry from both the Asian and European sides. Please refer to transport app TRAFFI for your individual needs.
