Salon IKSV will host US-based talent Washed Out on Sunday 26 and Monday 27 November. Set to start at 20:00, tickets are priced at 70 TL (50 TL for students) and are available via Biletix (Sunday/Monday).

One of the best specimens of the “bedroom producers” generation. After studying to become a librarian and failing to find a job, he started producing in his own bedroom with his guitar in his lap, pedals on the floor and laptop on the dresser. He was probably unaware that these creations were to bring forth a completely new genre. His first recordings were dirtier, more distorted dance pop productions reminiscent of contemporaries such as Neon Indian and Memory Tapes. 2011 was his year–his first hit “Feel It All Around” became the credits songs of the TV series “Portlandia”, and soon enough he joined the Sub Pop family, which indie musicians often dream of. He released 3 EPs and 3 LPs. His latest album “Mister Mellow” released on 30 June was a true summer treat for his followers anticipating it since 2013’s “Paracosm”. The wah wah pedals and beach sounds in his tracks confirm this summer situation. He will be in Istanbul for the first time, twice on the stage as part of the tour of his latest album, “Get Lost”, to make you forget yourself, reality, responsibility, and the world outside.
