Take Me Up the Bosphorus: English Stand-Up Comedy Nights in Istanbul (TMUTB) will host back-to-back English stand-up comedy nights featuring British comedian Aidan Goatley on Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 June. The hilarious Aslı Akbay, alongside the TMUTB team, will serve as host through all the fun. Tuesday’s event takes place at Hard Rock Cafe, set to start at 21:00 with free entry. Wednesday’s event takes place at Kılçık Mekan, set to start at 20:00 with 25 TL (20 TL for students) as the entry fee. All performances are in English.

Aidan Goatley has performed sold out shows in London, Edinburgh, all over the UK and Dubai. Aidan Goatley is a brilliant raconteur with an utterly unique turn of phrase. His shows combine superb narrative drive, pathos, and emotional depth, but are also stunningly hilarious and leave audiences crying out for more.
His first solo show ’10 Films my Dad’ became an Edinburgh fringe smash hit that played for 5 years and sold out the 150 seat Voodoo rooms ballroom everyday for three years running. It was also turned into a bestselling book that the Daily Express rated as a book of the week.
This year has seen Aidan return with a new show ‘The Joys of Retail’ of which top comedy website Chortle described Aidan as ‘a truly engaging performer’ and the show as ‘proper comic gold’. Aidan has also this year been a tour support for Hal Cruttenden (live at the Apollo, BBC Radio4) and also sold out his other show ‘Mr Blue Sky’ for 2 nights in Dubai.
