Pop-Up Dinners Istanbul is back at it again, this time celebrating the end of fishing season in their The Last Supper dinner. As usual, it’s RSVP only and seats are likely to fill quickly. Set for Saturday 31 March at 20:30,  the evening’s courses are 130 TL with attendees encouraged to bring their own bottles. For a bit more insight into what deliciousness can be expected, check out our previous review of the pop-up experience.

Pop-up Dinners Istanbul

From the organizer:

The fishing season ends tonight (31st March) and won’t start until the 1st of September. So for the last time we make the most of fresh produce from the sea. The menu can change depending on what is out there on market day but it will be Asian in flavour. I’ll get as close as I can to the menu below. Additions happen and changes.

STARTER:
3 types of Maki Rolls (Sushi): Salmon, Egg & Tuna served with pickled ginger, soy sauce and wasabi paste.
(origins Japan and the Cihangir kitchen)

HOT STARTER:
Singapore noodles with calamari and shrimp

MAIN COURSE:
Shark Ambotik (origin Goa)
(For those who don’t know what shark tastes like it’s a firm meat like swordfish and is mild in flavour like cod).
Fish and prawn mousse stuffed in jalapeno peppers.
Spiced basmati rice

DESSERT:
Eton Mess with sea salt caramel sauce.

Contribution: 130tl includs water.
