From the organizer:

We are meeting again on the evening of November 18th with the London-based trio The Comet Is Coming, which brings together jazz, funk and psychedelic elements in their music with an Afro-futurist approach!
The Comet Is Coming, consisting of Shabaka on saxophone and shakuhachi, Danalogue on synth and Betamax on drums; presents the feeling of being lost in the present moment by combining the purest form of punk rock, interdimensional jazz beats and deep dance floor trance. The group, which was nominated for the Mercury Award with their album “Channel The Spirits” released in 2016, quickly attracted attention and managed to make their name known in a short time. The team that created their sound, influenced by Sun Ra, Frank Zappa and Jimi Hendrix, with an Afro-futuristic approach; It takes its name from the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. The group shared their second album “Trust in the Lifeforce of the Deep Mystery” in 2019; It has garnered accolades from many music outlets including Pitchfork, Guardian, NME, and Mojo. The band’s latest album, “Hyper-Dimensional Expansion Beam”, to be released on September 23, promises to be a gateway to new universes and dimensions. The Comet Is Coming; while imagining the end of the world, he sees the scene as the space shuttle and the microphone as an accelerator, signaling that the comet is approaching.
