The Speech Bubbles Theatre Group returns for another Christmas pantomime in their production of “Dick Whittington and his Cat”. Showtimes are on Saturday 10 December at 14:30 and 19:00, and Sunday 11 December at 14:30 at Şişli Terakki Theatre. Tickets are priced at 40 TL (20 TL for children) and available via their site, through a cast member, or at the door.

Hearing that the streets are paved with gold, our down-on-his-luck hero Dick Whittington sets off to London in search of fame, fortune, adventure… and true love! But the dastardly King Rat and his band of evil ratlings will let nothing stand in the way of world domination and soon the streets of the capital are overrun with rats causing chaos and mayhem across the City.
It’s up to Dick and his friends to save the day, and you’re all invited to join him on his adventures!
Featuring all your favourite pantomime characters and great songs, dances, laughter, joy and magic, make Istanbul feel the Christmas magic. It’s the purrr-fect festive treat!
About Speech Bubbles:
Speech Bubbles theatre group was established by Tom Godfrey in 1992. Its aim is to stimulate and motivate young learners of English through the use of drama. The group has performed at venues in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Adana and cities in Hungary.
Speech Bubbles originally consisted primarily of professional English and Drama teachers who wrote material especially designed for learners of English. The plays incorporated music, dance and mime in order to ensure that everyone could understand and enjoy the performances whatever their level of English.
Since then Speech Bubbles has grown into a large multicultural group of professional and amateur actors, singers and musicians. The group performs a musical production each year to raise money for charities that support children and education. Everyone in the group is unpaid, donating their time, services and expertise doing something they enjoy for the positive benefit of underprivileged children.
