We invite everyone to join us for a gathering to show solidarity and generate some additional support in the form of fundraising and donating goods. We very much intend to frame this get-together in a tone that is respectful of the current situation facing all of us, while allowing a space for people to reconnect, spend time with others, and share compassion and love during a difficult period. We’ll be there Wednesday starting from 19:30 at Arsen Lupen in Taksim.
Counseling psychologist Soraya Raeispour will join us for the event, so people can have a chance to speak to a professional if needed, or perhaps even assemble for some group discussion and support.
We’re requesting a minimum of 50 TL as a suggested donation and/or you can bring some goods to donate. We will process the donated goods and take these to the municipality logistical centers the following day.
We will be sharing a list of goods we’ll be accepting on Tuesday to correspond with the updated lists being shared by officials. As for the cash donations, 100% of funds gathered will be passed on to NGOs in the field (most likely Ahbap, but will finalize by Tuesday afternoon).
Note: The event is 18+ and everyone is welcome.
