Istanbul’s vibrant music calendar gets a major boost with the launch of Pozitif Vibrations, a new urban festival series supported by +1. The inaugural event features a genre-spanning lineup of international acts, including Foster The People, Biig Piig, English Teacher, and Mezerg. With a mix of indie pop, experimental sounds, post-punk, and electronic innovation, Pozitif Vibrations aims to create a day-long celebration of music and atmosphere. Tickets are available via Biletix.
Foster The People
The Los Angeles-based indie pop group returns to the spotlight with their latest album Paradise State of Mind, released in the summer of 2024. Known globally for their breakthrough hit “Pumped Up Kicks,” the band continues to evolve their sound while maintaining the infectious energy that made them a festival favorite. Their set at Pozitif Vibrations marks a much-anticipated performance for Istanbul fans.
Biig Piig
Jessica Smyth, known professionally as Biig Piig, brings her distinct blend of R&B, hip hop, and electronic textures to the stage. The Irish-born, London-based artist rose to fame with her track “Don’t Turn Around,” featured in FIFA 21, and has since become a dynamic force in the alt-pop world. Her intimate yet genre-blurring performances promise a soulful interlude in the day’s festivities.
English Teacher
One of the UK’s most buzzed-about new acts, English Teacher made waves in 2024 with the release of their critically acclaimed debut album This Could Be Texas. The Leeds-based post-punk band capped off their rise by taking home the prestigious Mercury Prize, cementing their reputation as one of the year’s breakout acts. Expect a powerful, socially conscious, and high-energy set.
Mezerg
French multi-instrumentalist Mezerg is a showman in the truest sense. Combining analog instruments with electronic beats, he creates live performances that feel like a futuristic jam session. Whether he’s playing the theremin, piano, or homemade gear, Mezerg transforms the stage into an electrifying audio-visual playground, making him the perfect closing act for a day full of sonic exploration.
