Open Studio Days has kicked off their “Open Call” for their 2016 edition taking place from Friday 7 through Sunday 9 October. Non-commercial and independent art organizations, visual artists and artist-run spaces are all encouraged to take part in this unique platform for networking and art presentation. Applications must be sent to openstudiodays@gmail.com before the Tuesday 6 September deadline.

Açık Stüdyo Günleri // Open Studio Days 2016 is providing for the third time in a row an opportunity for visual artists, artist-run spaces and other non-commercial independent art organizations to open their doors and embrace the wider creative community and public of Istanbul.
Between 7th – 9th October 2016 the 3rd edition of Açık Stüdyo Günleri // Open Studio gives artists the chance to share their work with a curious audience without the need of an institution.
The aim is to create a platform for networking, presenting art within independent structures, as well as making art accessible to everybody.
Kendin yap, kendin sergile! // Make it yourself, exhibit it yourself!
Hundreds of people visited the 33 studios of the 43 participants all across Istanbul for the 2nd edition of Açık Stüdyo Günleri // Open Studio Days in 2015.
Due to the success and huge positive feedback of the past Open Studio Days we aim to create Open Studio Days as an annual and sustainable event.
Açık Stüdyo Günleri /// Open Studio Days is organized by Juliane Saupe and Deniz Beşer without commercial support or sponsoring.
Who can apply?
All visual artists, artist-run spaces and other non commercial independent art organizations who have their studios // spaces // homes in Taksim, Cihangir, Galata, Karaköy, Tophane, Talimhane,Tarlabasi, Teşvikiye and Kadiköy are welcome to apply.
How to apply?
Please fill in the application form on our website and send an additional email with your portfolio attached containing at least 5 examples of your artistic practice and realized projects and 3 photographs of your space.
