Acclaimed British dance-theatre company Jasmin Vardimon Company presents its anniversary production NOW at Istanbul Lütfi Kirdar Anadolu Auditorium Salonu on Friday 27 March and Saturday 28 March. Blending cinematic physicality, precise choreography, and layered storytelling, the performance reflects on time as something fluid and constantly shifting, brought to life through the company’s distinctive movement language. Founded in 1998 by choreographer Jasmin Vardimon, the company has become one of the UK’s most recognized forces in contemporary dance-theatre. Over more than two decades, Jasmin Vardimon Company has developed a choreographic style that fuses detailed physical expression with theatrical narrative, often exploring social themes through works that balance intensity, humor, and striking visual composition.
The company has created 18 original productions and toured extensively across the UK and internationally, establishing a strong global presence.
Conceived to mark the company’s 25th anniversary, NOW brings together fragments of iconic works from across its repertoire, weaving them into a new structure that moves between past, present, and future. Rather than functioning as a simple retrospective, the production reimagines earlier material within a contemporary frame, creating a visually dynamic collage that highlights the evolution of the company’s artistic voice.
Beyond the stage, Jasmin Vardimon Company operates JV H.O.M.E in Ashford, a creative hub dedicated to research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and artist development. Vardimon has also worked closely with major institutions such as Sadler’s Wells in London and has received multiple honors for her contribution to the field of contemporary dance.
