(August 17) Limp Bizkit @ Ataköy Marina

Nu-metal legends Limp Bizkit are officially set to bring their high-voltage energy to Istanbul for a one-night-only show on Saturday, August 17, at the scenic Ataköy Marina. Known for their explosive live performances and genre-defining sound, the band returns to Türkiye after a long-awaited absence.

Organized in collaboration with iTicket, Robin Music, TemaCC, and %100 Metal – among the country’s leading names in live entertainment – tickets go on sale Monday 02 June at 12:00 PM through iTicket.com.tr. This is a rare chance to witness one of the most influential acts of the early 2000s rock scene, performing hits that helped shape a generation.

Formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1994, Limp Bizkit became global icons by smashing together the aggression of metal with the swagger of hip-hop, wrapped up in a rebellious energy that spoke to a generation fed up with norms. With Fred Durst at the helm, part rapper, part provocateur, the band’s rise was anything but subtle.

Alongside guitarist Wes Borland, bassist Sam Rivers, drummer John Otto, and DJ Lethal on turntables, they forged a sound that was both chaotic and catchy, theatrical and raw.

Their breakthrough came with Three Dollar Bill, Y’all$ in 1997, which laid the groundwork for their meteoric rise. But it was Significant Other in 1999 that turned them into household names. Featuring anthems like “Nookie” and “Break Stuff,” the album wasn’t just a hit, it was a cultural moment, defining the angst and attitude of late-’90s youth.

They followed it with Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water in 2000, which debuted at No. 1 and sold over a million copies in its first week. Tracks like “Rollin’” and “My Way” dominated the charts and cemented their place at the top of the rock world.

While critics were often divided, fans were anything but. Their shows became the stuff of legend, rowdy, unpredictable, and deeply cathartic. Fred Durst’s stage presence blurred the line between frontman and ringleader, while Borland’s eerie costumes and experimental guitar work gave the band an unmistakable visual and sonic identity. At their peak, Limp Bizkit weren’t just a band; they were a phenomenon.

After a quieter period in the late 2000s, the band returned with Gold Cobra in 2011 and most recently, Still Sucks in 2021, a tongue-in-cheek title that signaled their enduring sense of humor and self-awareness. The album was well-received for its nostalgic edge and playful energy, particularly the viral single “Dad Vibes,” which introduced a new generation to their sound.

Unlike many of their early 2000s peers, Limp Bizkit never tried to chase trends, they stayed true to their formula, evolving just enough while remaining unmistakably themselves.

Now in 2025, Limp Bizkit’s music feels both like a time capsule and a jolt of something still very alive. For longtime fans, it’s a chance to relive an era. For newer ones, it’s an opportunity to finally see what made them such a force in the first place. Either way, August 17 in Istanbul promises to be loud, unfiltered, and unforgettable.

Tickets are set to go on sale, Monday 02 June at 12:00 PM through iTicket.com.tr. Don’t miss out!
