On Friday 18 July, Kilimanjaro lands on the rooftop of 16 Roof, courtesy of Vox Creative Agency, offering a sublime evening of panoramic city views and emotive electronic groove. Under the guidance of Kilimanjaro, the event promises a journey through hypnotic rhythms and immersive soundscapes, set against Istanbul’s breathtaking skyline. With support from Furkan Kurt, Özgür Bay, and Mathilda, it’s set to be a proper night to remember. Tickets are available via BUGECE

Kilimanjaro isn’t just another name in electronic music, he commands over 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify and is celebrated for blending Afro-centric percussion with house, techno, and world music influences. Based in the UK with Zambian heritage, he began as a drummer before transitioning into DJing and production, a background that underpins his percussive-heavy sets.

In the studio, Kilimanjaro has been equally prolific. Often releasing tracks as an homage to the underground raves he grew up with, filled with textured drums and vocal-driven soundscapes he describes as “Sounds of the Motherland” . He’s also delivered standout remixes, including reworks of Moby’s “Where Is Your Pride” featuring Benjamin Zephaniah, and high-profile releases like “Good Shit” with LEILAH and multiple editions of “No Bad Vibes”.

Kilimanjaro’s performances are marked by visceral energy and intricate rhythm, a unique combination that’s taken him to major stages, Glastonbury, DC‑10 in Ibiza, Warehouse Project in Manchester, and the legendary Village Underground in London. His style is much more than club music, it’s a transformative, journey-style set that connects deeply with audiences.
