British Council Turkey in collaboration with Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts will host the British artist Mat Collishaw for a conversation with curator Ulya Soley at Yapı Kredi Kültür Sanat – Loca. The talk will be held in English and take place on Tuesday 12 June at 18:30. The event is free of charge and open to all.

The British Council in collaboration with Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts is honoured to host the acclaimed British artist Mat Collishaw for a conversation with curator Ulya Soley. How is Mat Collishaw’s work affected by the digitisation? What does VR technology offer the visitors on his virtual exhibition ‘Thresholds’? Can we talk about new curatorial methods and a change in artistic practices in relation to new technologies? What are some implications of new technologies on physical experiences? Can the digital democratise art? Ulya Soley who curated the second round of British Council’s digital gallery ‘Museum without Walls’, will discuss these questions with the artist Mat Collishaw. The talk will be held in English with simultaneous translation into Turkish.
