From the organizer:
The battle of darkness and light has been a part of the oral and written history of humanity since ancient times. In the stories human beings wrote to make sense of life, darkness represented “the evil” and light represented “the good”.
However, in Indian and Greek mythologies; where darkness and light bring the universe into balance, one cannot exist without the other. As Le Guin said, “Darkness is the left hand of light, and light is the right hand of darkness.” The phrase sums up this belief very well.
The perfect balance of these two hands has surrounded us since the beginning of existence and has harmoniously harboured the souls of all creatures and elements.
Imera & Niks Carnaval’s name is based on two goddesses in Greek Myth. Niks, who represents chaos and darkness, is mother of Imera who is the goddess of the light.
In Imera & Niks Carnaval, the participants are celebrating the harmony and balance that these two goddesses bring to the universe and it invites them to listen to the rhythm of the four elements with its unique concepts, designs, stages and artist performances.
Taking its power and origin from four elements, Imera & Niks Carnaval was first to bring the concept of carnival to Turkey by holding its first event in Istanbul in 2019, providing more than 4000 visitors at one stage a unique carnival experience in the likes of Coachella, Tomorrowland, and Burning Man. This year, with four stages and a massive line-up of talent, over 40,000 visitors are expected to take part.
Imera & Niks Carnaval is an unforgettable event that will make its participants feel the rhythm of four elements with four different stages this year and invites them to an unforgettable experience.
This year, Imera & Niks Carnaval will have four different stages. Each of the stages designed as Air, Water, Fire and Earth, will host a different type of music. Imera & Niks Carnaval, which will take the participants to the peaks of ethnic house, techno, psychedelic rock and psytrance; aims to provide a real carnival experience with dance and light shows accompanied by the most famous artists and DJs in their fields and in the world.

acrobatic dances and world-famous DJ performances. The stage will be constructed in shades of blue, purple and turquoise and will be symbolized by the “dolphin” throughout the carnival.

carnival and will invite the participants to a unique journey with world-famous techno DJs. The fire element will be represented with orange, yellow and red visuals in the carnival and in the event area; the performances of the fire dancers will be emphasized with the “phoenix” figure.

The element earth, which has been described as “Mother Earth” in most cultures throughout history, is one of the main scenes in Imera & Niks Carnaval. Earth Scene; brings together psychedelic rock music with the fertility of the soil, going deep into the soul of music. The Earth Stage, which will be created with the colors green, yellow and brown, will be represented by the figure of an “elephant” accompanied by magnificent dance shows and performances.
