(Past Event) HIGH ON FIRE @ Blind

HIGH ON FIRE, the Grammy Award-winning legends of heavy music, are making their long-anticipated return to Istanbul with a one-night-only performance on Sunday 16 November at Blind Istanbul. Organized in collaboration with Epifoni, this rare appearance marks the band’s first show in Türkiye after years of silence, promising an explosive night filled with riffs, rhythm, and raw energy. Tickets are available on Biletinial.

For fans of extreme, unfiltered metal, this is more than just a concert. Whether you’ve thrashed to their classics or are ready to experience their firestorm live for the first time, this show is set to reignite your passion for heavy music.Founded in 1998 by Matt Pike, a guitar icon and former member of doom pioneers Sleep, HIGH ON FIRE quickly became one of the most respected and devastating forces in modern metal. Their sound is a merciless fusion of sludge, thrash, doom, and Motörhead-inspired speed.

The band built its name on albums like Surrounded by Thieves (2002), packed with raw aggression and tracks such as “Hung, Drawn and Quartered” and “Speedwolf,” which became instant fan favorites and live staples. Their momentum surged with Blessed Black Wings (2005), featuring the crushing “Devilution” and “Brother in the Wind,” showcasing their range from chaotic to contemplative, all within the same volcanic core.

Death Is This Communion (2007) pushed the band’s vision further, weaving mythological and spiritual themes into sonic epics like “Fury Whip” and “Waste of Tiamat,” confirming their reputation for both ferocity and depth. Then came Snakes for the Divine (2010), where high-speed riffs met apocalyptic storytelling in songs like the explosive title track and the galloping “Frost Hammer.”

But it was Electric Messiah (2018) that catapulted them into metal history. The album’s title track earned them their first Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. With relentless tracks like “Spewn from the Earth,” “Steps of the Ziggurat/House of Enlil,” and “The Black Plot,” the album captured the full scale of their ambition: heavy, conceptual, and electrifying.

HIGH ON FIRE is not just loud. They are muscle and myth, fury and finesse. Their shows are not merely performances, but rituals of fire and sound, an explosion of sweat, spirit, and seismic volume where ancient battle themes collide with face-melting solos and pummeling drums.

This October, Istanbul becomes the battlefield as HIGH ON FIRE unleashes their storm of sound at Blind Istanbul, one of the city’s rawest and most immersive live venues. With Epifoni behind the scenes, fans can expect an intense, high-octane experience where every riff shakes the walls and every lyric cuts deep.

After a long absence, their return to Türkiye is more than just a performance. It’s a long-awaited homecoming for a band that has shaped and inspired generations of Turkish metalheads and heavy music fans.

Tickets will be available soon through official outlets. Whether you’re a longtime follower or a curious newcomer, this is your chance to be part of a night that will go down in Istanbul’s metal history. Don’t miss it. When the fire hits, there’s no turning back.

Tickets are available via Biletinial.  Keep up with all updates via Epifoni.
