Pop-Up Dinners Istanbul is back at it again, this time taking us on a delicious journey in their Georgian Greats Pop-Up. As usual, it’s RSVP only and seats are likely to fill quickly. Set for Saturday 9 June at 20:30, the evening’s courses are 100 TL with attendees encouraged to bring their own bottles. Maia is back in town from her native Georgia and will put together the great foods of Georgia for us to enjoy. Her menu below may differ slightly but here’s what she’s making us.
STARTER 1:
Assorted Pkhali plate: aubergine in walnuts, red peppers stuffed with carrots, spinach and cheese ball.
Hacipuri: bread stuffed with sulguni cheese.
Khinkali: Steamed Beef dumplings (eat with your hands).
STARTER 2:
Lobio: red beans cooked in corriander and spices.
MAIN:
Chicken Chakapuli (stew with unripe plums and tarragon) served with rice.
DESSERT:
Honey and Walnut cake.
Contribution: 100tl incl. water.
