Formed in 2005 by Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell, Blood Red Shoes has spent nearly two decades building a solid reputation for their gritty sound and intense live performances. With a blend of indie rock, garage, noise pop, and a touch of post-punk, the band has developed a unique identity, balancing melody with edge. Their discography includes standout albums like Box of Secrets, Fire Like This, and Get Tragic, with tracks such as “It’s Getting Boring by the Sea” and “Light It Up” earning cult status.
Their Istanbul set is expected to span both early fan favorites and newer material that reflects the band’s evolving sound, one that has become darker, more layered, but no less urgent.
