From the organizer
From indie cult Kings of Convenience to The Whitest Boy Alive, the genius of indie alternative/electronica Erlend Øye will be at Zorlu PSM with his sophisticated solo work on September 19!
Phenomenal co-creator of the Bergen native indie cult Kings of Convenience together with Erik Glambek Bøe, there is no rest for Erlend Øye. After releasing their first EP “Failure” with Kings of Convenience right before their debut album Versus, the duo had a fast and groundbreaking rise to the top of the indie scene. Øye released his solo work “Unrest” in 2003 compelling masses with his sophisticated personal sound. He recorded each track of Unrest in a different city and with a different producer, offering a unique work inside and out. Following this release, he formed The Whitest Boy Alive along with Marcin Öz, Sebastian Maschat and Daniel Nentwig releasing two albums back to back, Dreams (2006) and Rules in 2008. His latest solo album Legao was released in 2014, presenting Øye’s maturest sound ever.
