From the organizer:

Heroes of progressive metal, shoegaze and black metal, Norwegian band Enslaved is ready to meet you on April 4 at Zorlu PSM STUDIO stage!

Co-founded by two guitarists, Ivar Bjornson and Grutle Kjellson in 1991, Bergen-based extreme metal band Enslaved has been promoting Nordic metal ever since. Enslaved showed its difference by mixing authentic Viking tunes and motives into wild metal music. In 1994 their debut album “Frost” was released with Osmose label. Since then, Enslaved has released numerous songs and 14 very successful studio albums, rising to the top of the Scandinavian metal stage.

Enslaved has been a manifesto of Nordic metal music since its establishment. They succeed in blending in metal with a purely high-quality sound. Enslaved’s most significant inspiration for their lyrics is obviously Nordic spiritualism and mythology. Music critics rave about the album suggesting that the group succeeds in finding a “psychedelic almost Floydian version of black metal”.

Their 2008 release “Vertabrea” has been awarded as the album of the year by Terrorizer Magazine. After Vertebrea, a hectic European tour schedule followed by numerous concerts in North America with death metal band Opeth occupied their schedule. Always labelled as a black metal band, Enslaved started to follow a more progressive metal path during their recent work, especially their with their newest album “E”. According to Kjellson, the silky new sound of the band is he perfect blend of metal with a touch of rock, jazz and traditional Nordic folk. Their inspirations include Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Rush, Genesis, Darkthrone and Bathary. One of the biggest actors of todays metal stage, Bergen based Enslaved is ready to rock the Zorlu PSM Studio stage! Save the date!
