(Past Event) Deafheaven @Blind

San Francisco-based post-metal band Deafheaven is set to take the stage in Istanbul for the very first time on Saturday, December 6, at Blind. Comprised of vocalist George Clarke, guitarists Kerry McCoy and Shiv Mehra, bassist Christopher Johnson, and drummer Daniel Tracy, the band is known for pushing genre boundaries by blending elements of black metal, shoegaze, and post-rock into a uniquely intense and emotional sound. Their upcoming show marks one of their first solo appearances in Turkey and promises an immersive live experience for both longtime fans and curious newcomers. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this unique night. Tickets are available on Passo.

Deafheaven made a lasting impact on the metal and alternative scenes with their 2013 breakout album Sunbather, a genre-defying release that earned critical acclaim and appeared on numerous “best of the decade” lists, including Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time and Pitchfork’s Best 200 Albums of the 2010s. They followed it up with New Bermuda and the GRAMMY-nominated Ordinary Corrupt Human Love, continuing to evolve their sound with each release. Their most recent album, Infinite Granite (2021), marked a shift toward more melodic and ambient textures, reflecting a different yet equally captivating side of the band.

Having performed at major festivals like Coachella and Primavera Sound, and shared stages with acts such as Slipknot, Chelsea Wolfe, Knocked Loose, and Mono, Deafheaven has earned a reputation for powerful, emotionally charged live shows. Their ability to move seamlessly between raw aggression and atmospheric beauty makes their concerts a compelling sonic journey. The intimate setting of Blind offers a fitting backdrop for this dynamic experience, allowing the band’s nuanced sound to shine through.

Whether you’ve followed their evolution over the past decade or are simply curious about their live energy, this concert is a solid opportunity to witness one of the most innovative acts in modern heavy music. Tickets are now on sale via passo.
