Babylon Bomonti, as part of the Akbank Jazz Festival, will host the Jason Marsalis Vibes Quartet on Thursday 20 October. Set to start at 21:30, tickets are priced from 25 TL to 70 TL and available via Biletix.

Drummer and vibraphonist Jason Marsalis is the youngest musician of the Marsalis family, the most famous jazz family of New Orleans. Following in the footsteps of his big brothers Branford, Wynton and Delfeayo, he took part in his jazz pianist father Ellis Marsalis’ album when he was 15. He is 39 today with over 60 albums he played in, some of which being his own releases. As well as being a virtuoso, he is equally skilled at composing. His latest album “In a World of Mallets” in 2013 made it to the number 1 spot in jazz radio rankings, and was awarded “The Best Contemporary Jazz Album” by the Offbeat Jazz Magazine. Accompanied by a band of young American musicians, Jason Marsalis is expected to shine through his vibraphone at the festival.
