Our city’s populations have tripled in the last 30 years. We’ve swelled into the heavyweight class and each year energy demands rise 7%. Across Europe – no other city has seen such rapid population growth. In Europe, carbon neutrality is a realistic goal. Our Turkish giants are working on maintaining municipal infrastructure. In a contest concerning clean energy and green space, can we hold our own weight? Consider the challenges Istanbul and Bursa are facing, but first let’s look at the other challengers.
