After producing Palmiyeler’s acclaimed album Akdeniz, Brek locked himself in his bedroom studio, crafting his self-recorded debut album, TV Juice, which arrived in the summer of 2018. The album’s hazy and immersive sound quickly resonated with fans of Kim Ki O and shoegaze-inspired dream pop. But he didn’t stop there—his second album, Mikrodalga Sörfü, released on September 28, marked a striking shift, introducing Turkish lyrics and generating a wave of surprise, admiration, and excitement among listeners.
