Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra (BIPO) is joining world-renowned cellist Gautier Capuçon for a captivating performance conducted by Sascha Goetzel. Reciting Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring and Lera Auerbach’s Diary of a Madman, the masters of harmony will take the stage at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Sahnesi on Thursday, 8 December. The cello ambassador of the 21st century, “La Classe d’Excellence”, which he founded at the Louis Vuitton Foundation, which maintains its place at the top with the concerts he gave with the world’s leading conductors and musicians.
Gautier Capuçon, who conveyed his knowledge to the younger generation with “de Violoncelle”, is coming to Istanbul, which he loves very much, as the guest of BIPO. The cello concerto titled “Diary of a Madman” by Lera Auerbach, one of the most popular composers of our time, with whom the artist produced projects together, was written with the joint commission of BIPO and was performed for the first time in Munich in January 2022. Sascha Goetzel, guest honorary conductor, will be conducting the BIPO in this excellent concert of the season, where the piece will meet music lovers in Turkey.
